TAKE CAUTION ON POP UP WARNINGS

Computer viruses travel onto your computer many different ways. Recently we have seen an increase in the number of customer computers infected by a virus after the user responds to an “alert” pop up message requesting he or she call Microsoft, the IRS or Haviland Telephone Company. The number provided in fact belongs to someone with harmful intent. It is always best to use caution when responding to any pop up message you receive when on the Internet.  Avoid clicking any links or calling any numbers provided. If you think you may have obtained a virus by responding to one of these messages, please contact your local computer repair professional for assistance in removing the virus.
